Water rushes into the break and wedges a piece of land into the Pacific Ocean! When the water collides in the middle of the fault, it splashes up and covers the land in water! As the land detaches from California and gets pushed away by the rushing water, the nearby islands get overrun by rushing water. San Francisco is nearly wiped out and overcome by water.
